The Flying - Hawaiian Dance Meditation

The Flight of the Navigator

This amazing meditative Dance Movement is the base for the Kino Mana Bodywork and also very useful as a daily practice to get into complete balance between heaven and earth.

The Hawaiians looked at the Hawk, the bird which flies highest, with enormous strength always in the air and the same moment always connected to earth, while watching and hunting for food. This technique we learn to carry in our body with simple steps on the ground and movements with the arms, which we can use like wings.

Through practicing this movement in a flowing rhythm to wonderful Hawaiian music, you’ll experience who you are, how you’re really connected with the ground and get strong, stable and deeply rooted.

So the heart will open wide, streams of joy come up and you’ll ´fly´.

Teacher:
"The Flying" dance is taught by Susanne Schwing, who has been practicing ‘Light work’ and Hawaiian bodywork for 15 years. Her deepest issue is to share and expand the knowledge of healing and the skills, which help effectively to connect to our healing power inside. More information about Susanne's work: www.susanneschwing.blogspot.com

Biological Cretan Farm

Experience a Traditional Biological Cretan Farm

Approximately 1.5km from Akrimios, set in a valley overlooking the snowy Lefka Ori Mountains is the Kokotsakis Family Farm.  Generations have lived on this land raising sheep and making cheese, growing grapes and making wine, growing olives and making olive oil, growing and harvesting lemons, oranges and a variety of vegetables.

Petros Kokotsaki manages the farm and continues in the traditional ways.  Coaxing the earth to produce the healthy, biological, organic food that the family and the patrons of Akrimios enjoy throughout the year.  

Guided tours of the farm may be available upon request and demonstrations of the harvest and wine and cheese making may be part of the guest experience, depending on the time of year. More about our farm >>
